Never heard of Hendersons, is it a Northern thing?
Yes. A Sheffield thing, specifically. It’s like a sweeter, softer Worcestershire Sauce. And it’s bloody amazing.

Can’t recommend it enough.
I searched for it in south-western supermarkets when I was last back in UK but with no joy. I might have to experiment with online sales and get some sent out.
Amazon do it

Yep, old Henderson's building has been restored by the University, not the absolute original site which was nearby on Broad Lane and long gone, but the site where it was made from somewhere in late 1800's until 2013. It is now opposite the University History department, and directly across Leavygreave Road from Jessop West Cafe, all built on site of the old Jessop's Women's hospital, birthplace of Miss FiF.

Relishheads.com Trivia Matters biggrin

Looks like it's made in some old dears living room
When MrsFiF was in Jessop's producing Miss FiF nearly 30 years back I used to park opposite Henderson's when visiting. Then it looked like some scruffy old garage that you'd find some dodgy bloke welding together the halves from two different vehicles. Unprepossessing in the extreme.

Another useless factoid, used to use that parking space as it was the furthest away from the area used as hooker central. Prossies knew their market, wives in hospital, husbands visiting. Some evenings it was a flaming traffic jam.

Slightly overdone as I was cooking several meals at once, but delicious nonetheless.

Orange juice, fried slice and toast and marmalade out of shot.

That egg is raw.
I promise you it wasn’t, and the ‘snot’ on the yolk is actually the reflection from my kitchen windows!

Yep, Amazon is great for ordering stuff when you're not in the UK and need home comforts!

I'm feeling extremely lazy and have left over RDCM for last nights Chinese so I fear I may have to postpone my fry until dinner or even tomorrow morning!

Photo looks a bit out of focus, soz. Also forgot caramelised onion relish, Henderson's added to scramblies.

Some cracking breakfasts today chaps, nice work.

My birthday treat-to-self.

Bit of a vegetarian's nightmare to be honest, and I did the best I could with the ingredients available. Bacon as we know it isn't a thing, and the sausages are good but different. Spicy chorizo dry fried and added to reduced beans for a head-sweating beany treat.

Complemented with a decent champagne, with coffee afterwards.

mickk, you just need to accept the fact that I will usually have hoops with a fry laugh I much prefer them to beans and, having just looked at the receipt from yesterday's shopping, they were only 13p!! biggrin

You decided to cremate the toast in the background rather than a burial?

Those are for my missus, she likes burnt toast for some weird reason.

Happy Birthday CDG from me too.

In your honour I made brunch for 17 and me. Yes, I know the beans are in a ramekin. I'm brazen like that.
