Today’s effort, topped with homemade tomato ketchup....
Apologies for the chipped plate...
Nice. The homemade ketchup is intriguing.Apologies for the chipped plate...

I make a batch and leave it to “condition” for a month in a Kilner jar.
I use the mixed variety tomatoes they sell in Aldi or Tesco (mixed tomatoes, yellow, plum, red etc).
If you like a bit of a kick you can increase the Chilli content to suit.
Works great on a FEB or burgers, hot dogs etc.

It's pointless trying to educate you fools, Branston beans are like nectar to the sausage.
Branston beans are so much better than Heinz. The sauce is so much thicker and actually has some flavour bolidemichael said:
Ketchup on eggs? Contentious in my view.
Here's this morning's effort with grilled plum tomato, duck egg and bacon cured from the butcher in Cupar. MiL's crockery.

My mum always said when I was growing up "you're a duck egg" ...
I know realise how much of a compliment that was, they taste so much better than a hens egg.

Wot no beans!?
And all the better for it. Beans, or 'oops, have no place on a proper cooked breakfast. None. There, I've said it.
I had a thought and came to the conclusion that the holy trinity would at least be
Bacon
Egg
Sausage.
And then you can add the 2nd division of mushrooms, fried bread, beans, tomato, black pudding ....
Third division is the pot of tea and toast .....
But then in the past the British breakfast has far more kippers ! And Indian style smoked haddock or salmon kedgeree etc . My summation is the more variety the better.

Been an interesting read the last few pages, it does make you think about what your great breakfast thread should include and being a PH one it will have a British bent rather than say, USA. Hash browns on a breakfast? Noooooooooooooooo

A British bent with foreign beans exactly how?I had a thought and came to the conclusion that the holy trinity would at least be
Bacon
Egg
Sausage.

Your premise is a good one, but the conclusions drawn must not remain unchallenged in civilised company (or on Pistonheads for that matter )

It works well on scrambled Popped into a nice place in Bradford in Avon, spotted chorizo hash on the menu, one of my favourites, this one a bit of a twist with avacado. But it was bloody delicious, garlicky, Smokey, new potato’s cooked to perfection and very crispy
I would have preferred some spinach and cheese on it though, but really enjoyed it

Stop 'twisting'
Everything's a twist on something these days. No it's not. I went to a restaurant on Monday where the menu was described as a British Twist on Tapas. No it wasn't, it was more of a case of 'Not as good as Tapas'
Here we have a serious case of 'twist remorse'. Everything's a twist on something these days. No it's not. I went to a restaurant on Monday where the menu was described as a British Twist on Tapas. No it wasn't, it was more of a case of 'Not as good as Tapas'

I agree, avacado shouldn’t be be hot, and it is better with spinach in it. Should also be 2 eggs and served with a slice of chiabatta like in Spain Everything's a twist on something these days. Like this one I had

It works well on scrambled McDonalds South Africa Mega muffin breakfast.....
Hash brown and drink as usual....
Mega muffin is-
Egg
2 chicken sausage
Chicken roll
1 boerwors patty (extra 6 rand)
Ketchup
Cheese
Damn image uploaded won’t allow me to upload on this thread grr!!!! You will just have to imagine it
Verdict - horrible 2/10 even the hash brown was crap because it was basically crispy soft mash
