Although well off topic for GBB, but related to the above - a school mate used to buy a portion of chips every day and 2 white baps. He’d tip the chips into a pudding bowl, screw the top off a bottle of vinegar, pour the ENTIRE bottle into the bowl, eat chips, and mop up the rest of the vinegar with a bap.

I like vinegar, but...

Was back up home couple of weeks ago - and the beans in a bap reminded me of this place

Woodys Sandwich shop

All the breakfast baps have the option of having baked beans in them, or the top piece of bread half dippped into cooked tinned tomato’s ..... lick

Messy - but bloody lovely.

Edited with menu

Next time I’m up - photos will be taken.

Woody's post photos on a fairly regular basis in the local Facebook page, I think it's fair to say food photography and plating techniques aren't high on their agenda. Their customers tend to try a little harder.

No sandwich photos though.

I've never been, it always looks a bit low end but I guess it's priced accordingly too.

Was staying at the Village Hotel up the road - yes not haute cuisine @ Woodys - but bacon and beans on a buttered bap with a cup of tea set me up for the day. Bacon was really nice as well

The Village used to do a cracking breakfast buffet but as each year has passed they seem to have removed one item so now it's incredibly basic. I don't blame you heading to Woody's!

Running a little low on supplies

Thursday

Cook the leftovers Friday and used this brilliant recipe

https://www.reddit.com/r/GifRecipes/comments/gcq7l...

2 eggs went into this. 2 sausages, 2 bacon and cheese.

Would have that and enjoy it, it would be churlish to knock any points off for the egg not being placed on the fried bread to assist with yolk control.

Plus points for bacon amount and beans instead of 'oops. Downsides for me are lack of hash browns (two is a minimum acceptable number but three preferred) and the sausages look a bit withered.

Don't really like hash browns. I only cooked them for the kids. The sausages were really small Richmond's which I like but stuck t the pan like st on a blanket.

If you look closely there are 2 hash browns. I like to split the yolk into the middle.
On a separate subject probably done before I like a bit of everything on my fork but my kids eat each bit separately WTF?

I’m a big fan of fried potatoes in a fry up, but that’s a bit sparse.

Points for correct egg position, nice to see a BP.

Beans underdone. Hard to identify any specific egregious crimes, but overall a bit gloomy. 5/10.

It was more than the poached eggs on toast only that I had planned

The eggs look pretty good to me. Maybe an inadequate toast-to-eggs ratio, and there's a rule somewhere (I forget which sub-section) about poached not being served with beans, but a solid effort I reckon.
