looking forward to seeing the results. wonder how everyone else is getting along?
Yesterday I was fine but my pud last night contained more booze than Tuesday night!

Will be busy tomorrow so here goes.
This week I made a Pissed Italian Surprise!
More or less a trifle. Starting off with Amaretti biscuits soaked in home made Amaretto liqueur. (Booze and sugar more or less)
Made a custard. - 3 egg yolks, bit of cornflour, more sugar and hot milk / cream. I added a reasonable measure of home made vanilla liqueur to the cream.
Added another layer of crushed amaretti biscuits as it was quite a big bag.
Next a layer of whipped cream whisked up with a bit of sugar. Just in case there wasn't enough cream and sugar in the recipe.
Poncey topping of spun sugar in a rough ball that worked really well but made a bit of a mess of the cooker.
Ta da!!
Had to use daft health and safety indoor sparklers that were pressed into a final Amaretti. They didn't even burn long enough to get a picture with both glasses lit at the same time.
