Fresh Chicken in Herts?

Yours truly stupidly volunteered to cook during the imminent festive season. I need to find a decent chicken or two and wondering if there are any farms or shops or whatever else that anyone can recommend in north herts? id rather not buy from a supermarket but have no idea about where to find decent farm stuff
