i have looked in the PH guide but there's nothing there.

i am in madrid for a long weekend in just over a month. looking for recommendations where to eat. nothing overly expensive please as i'll be with a group of mates who aren't really into their food and its always hard to convince them to go where i want to eat, more so if its pricey.

i do arrive there 8hrs before they do though and i would quite like to spend at least half that time propping up a bar, people watching, and eating tapas. i hear the latin quarter is the best place for this. any ideas?

I can heartily recommend the " Little Cow" or Porca Vacca sp?

If I recall it can be found in the old sector of the city and served traditionally cooked Argentinian steaks.

It wasn't particularly expensive, but it was one of the best steaks I've ever tasted . lick
