The first one for chicken stock was bad enough ("the best thing to happen to cooking since me" - it just came across as big-headed!)

Now we have...

"To me, it's how a real beef stock should taste."

Didn't they think this one through? When I hear that I conclude that the product he's advertising doesn't taste anything like a real beef stock, which for something sold under the name "Knorr Beef Stock Pot" is probably not the conclusion the manufacturer wants people to make...

And what's with the cardboard cows?

And also, he is banging out soup for £1 a pot in Asda. 3 star Michelin chef banging out reduced soup in Asda. Yet another who has sold his soul and principles to commercialism and the cheap money it provides...

BTW, the soup is OK, but over seasoned and nothing special.

I saw his soups in Sainsbury's yesterday. They were quite a bit more than £1 from memory. They must have them on promotion in Asda.

They were OK at £1. For £2.19 (normal price IIRC) they'd be massively overpriced.

I wouldn't hesitate to tell him either if I ever saw him.

What makes me laugh about that advert is when he says "arghhh, smell the beef" - that's what a lad I know used to say just after he grabbed a handful of his fart and pushed it in your face (charming eh!)

Now, whenever I see knoor products, I think of smelly farts!!
