Have done a search but nothing came up.

Prompted by a conversation in the office this morning, what foodie things did you used to enjoy in the past that are no longer available.

I'll start with Riced Creamola pudding and Spira chocolate!

Bovril crisps, and those miniscule round pieces of biscuit with a sweet coloured crunchy bit of icing on the top.
Oh, and chewing gum with sugar in it. Juicy Fruit and Spearmint used to taste so much better than all this sugar free crap. smile

eta and Courage Tavern!

I thought they ended up making it an exception, so it could still be sold.
When it was banned, it was still being brought in by private individuals for certain restaurants, but it was 'under the counter', if you see what I mean!

Yes, as a lager drinker, it was one of the few keg beers I liked. Up until the Ushers brewery closed not so long ago, they were still making Double Diamond under licence for export to Canada! (Another well known beer from many moons ago).

Right, well that's the beer and Iced gems sorted. Just need some gum with sugar in! My favourite was the Wrigley's PK with about 5 pieces in that sold for 2 1/2p.

Screwball icecreams I think they were. I have seen them sold in ice cream vans.

ETA apparently you can buy them in the large supermarkets, tescos, sainsburys etc.
