You can buy Iced Gems in most supermarkets but they aren't the same, not even close.

Chocolate covered pretzels. Not seen any for years.
Munched those a few times in the past too. Must not be a big seller if discontinued.

Frys chocolate creams - the ones with the different flavours in each bit. You can still get the mint ones but not the fruity ones (I think).

I think you're right about the multi-flavour ones, but...

Caramac too...

It's very, very sad I know, but I miss Vesta Chicken Supreme. Yes, I know it's crappy dried soya, MSG and powder, but there was something about it that was soooooooo tasty! If I ever find a shop selling it, I'll buy every box they have so I never run out again.

For now, I'll just have to slum it, and make do with the nice fillet steaks I bought today from the farm shop smile

At the moment, all English things are limited to what people bring back after visiting the UK.
My foodie list for people is:

Tetley Tea
Marmite
HP Sauce
Worcester Sauce
Baked Beans
Lancashire Cheese (lots of it)

The white ones weren't minty, just plain 'fondant', and you can still get them in most Newagents. They did a mint version, and the 5 fruit version, but they were binned years ago.

One of my faves I cannot remember the name, but they were 'like' Poppets.

Same sort of box, which was beige in colour, and the contents were kind of like round balls of fudge.

ETA - Just seen the link, didn't know they did an orange version, and the mint ones are still around too!

laugh It's ok. I had that reaction at first but it's not such a bad place. Its got more freedom than you think, especially when you meet up with other expats and expand your circle and "buying" power winkdrink

Claire - just come in from sunbathing on the roof terrace smile
