Where can I get some of this to try? It sounds interesting!

Oh, another favourite of ours, Waitrose do a small Camembert with a layer of black truffle butter through it. Very, very good. We also get a Gouda type cheese filled with cumin seeds from family in France, never found it in the UK. Another good one from France is the goats cheese covered in a spicy peppercorn mix, can't remember the name the locals give it though.

You can actually buy it in most supermarkets these days.

If you like it, go for some stinking bishop next. Smells like arse, tastes beautiful.

I second époisses as the one to try - for the brave.

It tastes lovely, despite the smell. Even encased in a ziplock bag I can smell it every time I open the fridge door.

Imagine grandma's worst post-Christmas lunch brussels sprout farts, and you're almost there.

We once spent Christmas with some friends in a lochside cottage we rented in Perth. We drove up from Swindon in a rented Zafira. One of our friends had brought a Stinking Bishop, and thought it was funny to keep squeezing the coolbag that it was in so that essence of arse wafted out into the car hurl

Tasted lovely, but the smell was revolting.

Quite partial to a bit of the bishop (as said the choir boy!) so will give some of this a go.

Have you ever tried Munster as I mentioned earlier? It smells awful but tastes rather good indeed!

Pié D'angloys is my favourite for the last year or so.

Although I am still rather partial to a bacon & Roquefort baguette, and all sorts of smelly and creamy blue cheeses.

If you touch the rind it makes your finger smell like you've stuck your finger up a dog's arse. It's utterly vile!

Many a time. I love the stuff. I still think epoisses and stinking bishop are more pungent, though, my experiences of munster come from a french supermarket so I guess probably not the really best stuff.

Excellent taste.

Livarot is stunning, the smell is very very 'uric' (smells like piss and uncomfortably so) but wow, delicious cheese.
