As a matter of interest, what would you consider to be a fair price?
Well this is what I was looking at this weekend before seeing your post.

I think I would be happy to pay £30 plus delivery charge but I will admit I am oblivious to the cost of the type of steel you have stated.

If it could be shown that the required grade of steel would make £30 a non starter then I think I could be persuaded to spend more up to a max of £50

When the design is right, I think he will make a batch and sell them for about £35 to £40. If the demand is there he can ramp up production and then maybe reduce price a little.

Love the Shawarma! That’s a cool way of doing it too for that sliced kebab feel!

I have spit for the Weber so always done it one that!

What have you used for the spike please. Did you make it yourself. Ive been looking for something like this but the cost of importing from the States is prohibitive. Tacos al Pastor is all the rage at the moment seemingly.
Looks amazing.

I use the recipe from Jollivers Comfort Food book! Always use chicken thighs!

Looking good, you will not be disappointed:
That's just plain showing off, mine will not be so grand but its ready to get shipped to the house now.

The rebate is for a granite chopping block to sit into.

Getting the patio area ready this spring.

We built a sitting area last summer as it was on a slope before.

Employed some child labour to help clean up the old table n chairs

Fresh coat of preservative going on.

And Relax

Beautiful. The workmanship looks excellent!

Have you considered a wooden chopping block inset? Granite will blunt your knives (although will look amazing)

I have been dealing with Colin Adair at Woodland Sawmill, can't speak highly enough of them, very responsive and great with photographic updates.

I first found them on Ebay add but I have been dealing with them directly.

Yeah i did consider a dark hardwood for the contrast but decided I wanted somewhere I can set down hot stuff also from the grill without burning the wood.

In reality I will probably have a portable carving board out also. I also wanted to break up the big open wooden area with some contrast and match the black monolith egg. i will update with some more photos when its all set up in a week or so more.

I had a table built last year too, and as whenever I light the egg it starts to rain, I asked the guy to put an umbrella sized hole underneath the chopping board.

That's awesome. Out of curiosity, where do you store yours? I'm assuming covered in a Shed? I might have to get one for the next house, which means i'll have a good excuse for a shed...That umbrella hole is a great idea.
