Mutti pizza sauce in cans - buy 12 from Amazon. Get original - much nicer!

That looks nifty but not as versatile as a Go Anywhere

1000% a Weber Go-Anywhere.

I have 5.
2 that i use all the time. 1 gas one for easy cooks. 1 old tatty one i take to festivals etc incase it gets nicked. 1 brand new in box original ones with wooden handles in the loft.

I have many other bbqs, but always reach for the WGA if the food fits within it.

Great for hot and fast, low and slow, kebabs, rotisserie etc
WGA ticks all the boxes then. Just need see if anywhere is cheaper than Wow BBQ who have it on for £85
Well I finally ordered a portable BBQ as the George Foreman clone of the WGA is on offer at Amazon and Currys. Going by a comparison by someone who owns both the grill is a tad bigger than the WGA and whilst build quality isn’t the same it’s seemingly good value for money at £40

A mix of bits across both bbqs today. It’s only the third bbq I have done all year, absolute rookie numbers. Hoping for an Indian summer to help boost the numbers.

Hot & fast on the GA Clone. Annoyingly the matching mini chimney starter doesn’t seem to hold enough fuel to fill the bbq.

Finally used the Only Fire rotisserie and basket on the trusty Weber kettle. After almost 2 hours of low and slow the chickens were very very tender. Need to try a kellybab type thing next

Yeah I bought another Weber chimney recently and it wasn't until first use I realised it was smaller than the other one I have!

I have a regular Weber one for the kettle. I bought the portable George Foreman starter to match the WGA clone sold under the same brand. If the Weber one has the same issue then I guess it’s normal.

On the search for a cheap new 57cm kettle but struggling to find anything. Might have to find a second hand Weber instead

I've been smoking pig for a couple of decades but this was my first time doing beef ribs. 5 hours at 270f on the Komodo, then a 2 hour rest using Smokin Dad BBQ as the blueprint. I've done a few smokes on this BBQ but this was the first one I had trouble with obtaining the temp I wanted. Despite that, it was super delicious. biggrin

It’s a kebab recipe from someone called Kelly. I think originated from the CWS BBQ group on Facebook. Essentially a chicken donner/kebab/shawarma style recipe

Recipe here https://meatsmokefire.co.uk/recipes/chicken/the-ke...

Although I made it 2.5x bigger

I’ve done 2kg ones before that generally cook in 2 to 2.5hrs. This one was closer to 4.5

I’ve done them before without the roti (just turn it every 45mins)

Thanks chaps, I'll give the kellybab a go. I don't have a rotisserie and it's a gas barbecue but I'm sure I can adapt and overcome.
