I love it.

Any suggestions for recipes or what to serve it with?

My (basic) regulars are:

Kedgeree

A pasta dish with leeks, creme fraiche and capers

Lightly baked (8-10 mins, with butter and black pepper) and served with a poached egg, boiled spuds, green beans and the butter sauce.

All, of course, eaten with a lovely smoky, salty Islay dram. It was Ardbeg Corryvreckan tonight but almost any non-sherry finished Islay whisky goes beautifully with the fish.

So, any more suggestions?

Poached for 7-8 mins, then served with English mustard and brown bread and butter.

Oddly enough I find it goes rather well with Coca Cola getmecoat

Flake it in to pieces and use it in a fish pie.

I usually steam it (in the microwave on high for 3 mins) then top it off with a poached egg.
One of my favorite breakfasts smile

Warmed in water (not boiled as such, but you know what I mean). With a poached egg and something green. Hollandaise. Potatoes (new for most, I'm not a huge fan).

You are already 'there'.

kedgeree is a breakfast dish in my house, so no dram, except on my birthday

Yes, but wouldn't be the same with just regular smoked haddock. Arbroath Smokies are very, VERY special. A taste to die for.

Resotto (white wine, onions, fish stock, parmesan, smoked haddock)

I also like making a cheese sauce then adding some grain mustard. Put the smoked haddock in an oven proof dish top with wilted spinich then chopped cherry tomatoes. Pour over the cheese and mustard sauce and bake in the oven.

Poached in milk, then added to an ovenproof dish with halved mushrooms and white sauce, top with breadcrumbs and gruyere then baked for 25 minutes or so.
