A little top up today...
The Sriracha is from Tesco Express, only £2.20 and a nicely rounded effort.
The others are from the Chilli Shop in Leeds, I've fancied trying the Torchbearer Headless Horseradish for a bit now (it was in Hot Ones, series 10 I think) and it doesn't disappoint on taste. Heartbeat Hot Sauce Dill Pickle Serrano is pretty mild but a great salad dressing / addition to a cheese sandwich.

That sriracha is nice, even the Mrs started pinching it (from the fridge).
We have ran out, need to get a couple more bottles in.
Chilli shop still based in a St John’s Centre, chap? Don’t visit Leeds (city centre) anymore, despite working on the outskirts…
I was shocked to see it in Tesco Express for such a low price, the Chinese supermarkets are selling similar for double that, definitely one to stock up on as, like you, I have others in the house stealing it We have ran out, need to get a couple more bottles in.

The Chilli Shop is still up the top end on the outside of the Merrion Centre across from the St John's, he's such a helpful bloke and the selection in there is incredible.

Yes, I meant the Merrion Centre, whoops. The Chilli Shop is still up the top end on the outside of the Merrion Centre across from the St John's, he's such a helpful bloke and the selection in there is incredible.
St John’s has the Topshop, whilst Merrion has Morrisons etc.
The Core used to be named Headrow Shopping Centre before the redevelopment/update.
I got 3x bottles of the extra hot for a tenner inc delivery - https://shop-uk.firelli.com/products/firelli-hot-s...
Tastes like a weird gone off Tabasco and wouldn’t recommend it.

Apologies if anyone has already mentioned these:
Available from Amazon as a set for £12. The two on the right are quite punchy. If you’re a novice don’t try more than a single drop on a plate of food.

I get through about 4 bottles of their mustard ghost pepper per month.
I picked up a pot of this last week (at a premium it seems based on prices I've now seen online) - it's great to add into otherwise ordinary dishes or to cook things like chicken, potatoes, veg etc in... the garlic hit is probably more prevalent than the heat but there's definitely some temperature in there.

Another new one, apparently the Hairy Bikers are using one of their milder ones on their Christmas special tomorrow.
I was impressed by the list of ingredients on this one, it evolves in your mouth.
It looks like the Chilli Shop charges £2 more than getting it direct.

Morning all, hope Santa brought you some nice sauces.
I did a Hot Ones event between Christmas and the New Year that was organised by the Chilli Shop in Leeds - highly recommended if you can get to one of the future ones or find similar elsewhere.
It followed the same format as the show but we had to interview the people we went there with rather than being interviewed by the host (thankfully), sauces started at the mild and tasty level and then got hotter as we went through the 10.
What was interesting though was the difference between the naturally hot sauces vs the one with the extract in, Da Bomb. That was in position 8 in the line-up but was a far more unpleasant experience than the two considerably higher Scoville rated sauces that followed, essentially the way it caused your body to react meant that the next two were really pleasant in comparison.
It was good to try some of the stuff you can usually only get via the official Hot Ones Heatonist site and eat some pretty nice wings at the venue, Cult Wing - £20 all in with a bonus "world's hottest chocolate button" thrown into a pack with the details of all the sauces, I haven't eaten that yet, apparently it's hotter than any of the sauces we had.
The line-up was a bit of a "best of Hot Ones" that mixed up stuff from different seasons...
1. Hot Ones - "The Classic" (approx 1800 Scovilles, seasons 7-19)
2. Dawson's Cedar Smoked Garlic (7000 Scovilles, season 17)
3. Heartbeat PIneapple Habanero (12,200 Scovilles, season 10)
4. Cheeba Gold (25,300 Scovilles, season 8)
5. Hot Ones - Los Caliantes (49,000 Scovilles, seasons 6-19)
6. Queen Majesty Cocoa Ghost (71,000 Scovilles, season 17)
7. Torchbearer Garlic Reaper (116,000 Scovilles, season 8)
8. Da Bomb Beyond Insanity (135,600 Scovilles, season 2-19)
9. Hellfire Kranked (699,000 Scovilles, season 16)
10 Hot Ones - The Last Dab Apollo (2,000,000+ Scovilles, season 13-19)
Da Bomb has the 6.4 million extract in that kind of attacks you from the back of your brain rather than making your mouth tingle, it reminded me of the Dave's Insanity I used to buy but with a more unpleasant taste.
The Last Dab used now is a hotter version that the one they used to use thanks to the introduction of the new hybrid Apollo pepper (a mix of Carolina Reaper and Pepper X), apparently Ed Currie, the same chap who created the earlier record holders, brought it out when he realised he'd pretty much given away the others and allowed anyone to grow them, this one is a bit harder to get hold of and only comes in this sauce apparently. Clever marketing or actual truth? I'm not sure but it was a tasty sauce after Da Bomb.
All in all a fun night, if you can make it along to one I recommend it.
