Ok - so a random surf of the 'tube got me listening to the singer in Staind country stuff.

This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsQzw_Ax8Cw

Great voice - usual gung ho country USA hyperbole stuff - but got me looking at the late George Jones..

Ended up watching an episode of the George Jones show - amusing 90's country stuff. Anyway - a guest - Johnny Paycheck - strums less that a minute of an early 70's hit he did.

wow - what a sound (IMO!)

Maybe the best version I've ever heard of a great song.

Had the Hudson Mohawke remix of that on repeat a lot recently. Great track.

Spooky - same song - same time - had an urge to - don't know why.
For anyone who's not seen the whole cinematic film.

They appear not to have any UK distributer/publisher/label - it's a shame -they seem a great band. - Maybe not the best name - Violent Soho - but what's in a name?

Especially when you think of all the crap that floats around and get promoted by the music industry.

The best of Jerry Reed, including such gems as:

'She Got the Goldmine, I Got the Shaft' which has to be one of the funniest songs ever written about divorce, and

'East Bound and Down' which is, of course, the theme to 'Smokey and the Bandit', made even cooler by the fact that Jerry also stars in the film, playing Snowman.

Arise, by Sepultura. Not listened to it in years, and it had forgotten just how good this album is
