Apparently it's Peter Frampton's 67th birthday today.

So having done my chores this morning, I've put my headphones on, and cranked THAT ALBUM up to 11 before barbecuing. Life is good!

(For any younger viewers - I'm referring to "Frampton Comes Alive" recorded live in San Francisco in 1976 which immediately turned him from OK-musician to short term Superstar, although he was reasonably well known he really seemed to explode that year.... and I was 14 - this and a John Miles really got me then!)

On Record Store Day, this is the closest I'll ever get to 12'' records. wink

The 12'' 7-Disc Deluxe Collectors Edition of The War Of The Worlds on Super Audio CD.

Absolutely superb and is the definitive version of this album.

That's awesome.
My dad had a Bang & Olufsen Beomaster 3000 with an 8-track. I used to tape the top 40 back in the 70's and I can still mentally hear the 'click' on certain songs, as the 8-track switched tracks.

Leaves - "Shakma (Drunken Starlit Sky)".

Love how this plods along and builds up, then really gets going around the halfway mark! Great drumming too.
