Managed to somehow nab Emma to play at our wedding before she went to LA... she's been doing a cover a day for the whole of this month....

I put in a cheeky request for something she played on the day..

Oh and she absolutely nails this one:

I really should go see more live stuff like this!

Worth seeing love, if you haven't done so. Conor's voice really is that good.

Me.... currently listening to Prophet of Rage's snappily titled "unfk the world" - far better than the RATM covers they have been knocking out until now.

Wow. Just given myself the luxury of listening to this ... feet up .... floating away ... head in the clouds. Relatively rare to get the chance to listen to an album from first to last track just how it was crafted to be.

I can only imagine what it was like in June '67 (I was there but not really conscious of the impact) - so bold, diverse, crazy and wonderful.....

First week in June 1967 was in the merchant navy steaming up to Honolulu from Fiji. Tuning in to the hawaiian radio stations on short wave who were Sgt Peppering at all times. Raced ashore on arrival and bought the first copy back to the ship. I was suddenly very popular, but was not disappointed. Still have that same album.

Wow!

I'm dipping into Radio 4Extra today with some perspectives of the characters that Pepper the cover, fascinating. Also looking forward to the Howard Goodall documentary on the tellybox later....

Just heard a remarkable reggae version of Radiohead's Let Down in a Barcelona Bar. Now off to see Teenage Fanclub then Arcade Fire.
