Kate Bush, The Kick Inside, original pressing on vinyl; particularly James and the Cold Gun.

Amazing to think she was only 18ish yrs when she wrote Man With the Child in His Eyes & Wuthering Heights - When Dave Gilmour first went round after a mutual friend suggested he listen to her, she was 15 and had already written over 100 songs. Crazy.

It's a great version isn't it.

Just catching “The Third Man” and enjoying that Anton Karas zither music. So distinctive, so evocative,

I may be in a minority in liking this smile
Trout Mask Replica is certainly an interesting listen biggrin
As in 'may you live in interesting times' ?

On the other hand, "Trout Mask Replica" in Spotify has just thrown up several hours of rather good pre-2000 music.

Clear Spot was always my favourite.
'Men let your wallets flop out, women open your purses...' great album - I had to have TMR explained to me before I started to get it though!

Astonishing TBH.

Radiohead are not everyones cup of tea, and i'm reasonably selective with what i like of theirs, but sometimes, they deliver some absolute corkers.

12 or 13. She was/is a bright one for sure.

Wuthering Heights went into the charts 40 years ago this month.
