Been a fan for decades, last saw him on Monday...absolutely agree he's brilliant live and genuinely I've never seen him better than on this tour.

Friday evening sitting on the deck browsing PH and looking over the water. I've had an issue where a few of my albums have disappeared from my phone, some iTunes issue I haven't yet looked into. Anyway, picked up my old iPad and there they all are.

Conflict, The Ungovernable Force.

Napalm Death Peel Sessions is next.

Better than expected actually. Will give it a second pass on the train home.

He’s not Weiland. Accept that, and it’s not bad. STP sound (not as grungy as Core or Purple though) and Gutt should do justice to the back catalogue.

Solid enough, without being ground breaking. If there was a gig then I’d get a ticket...

An all time favourite - gets me every time. In fact I shall probably request it for my funeral!

I had a listen and agree it’s pretty decent.

I agree with what you say it’s a bit more polished and safe but they are older guys now so it’s a different subject matter I suppose.

Will definitely be giving it a few more listens.

Didn't last long. I'm back to full-on Tom Petty.

Been listening today (longish drive) to their 2009 4-album live set The Live Anthology
48 tracks - all live.
On way home this 1993 live track was on repeat.
Nice 'drivin' track with with lyrics that inc Red Clay Peaches - wink don't ask!

'Well I'm goin' down to Georgia
Drivin' all the way
Cross country for no reason
I woke up, I couldn't stay

I'm travellin' in an old car
Made in the USA
Hear that engine knockin'?
We've both seen better days

I'm takin' my sweet time
Day dreamin' a new life
It's summer down in Georgia
Girl, I'll see you later on...'

Look at them peaches down in Georgia
Red clay peaches hangin' on a tree
Look at them peaches down in Georgia
Red clay peaches hangin' on a tree

Won't last long, wintertime will get 'em
Winter will come and get 'em hanging on a tree
Won't last long, wintertime will get 'em
Winter sure will get 'em hanging on a tree

Well I'm goin' down to Georgia
Drivin' all the way
Cross country for no reason
I woke up, I couldn't stay

The last minute or so of this 6+min track proves again what a tight-knit band they were.

Not quite records, but streaming Blues Cove on iTunes, then desperately trying to get the name of artists to get the tunes.......

Robin Barret at the moment.
