Jealous!! I hope to pick that up soon, is it as good as it looks? Petty was amazing and the world is a slightly worse place without him frown

Just came across this gem whilst converting part of a large Vinyl Collection which I don't have in a digital format [CD or MP3].
Their earlier 'Operation Mindcrime' opus gets regular plays coz I have it on CD & Vinyl, but IMO this at least equal's OM - what does everyone else think?

Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, haven't listened the full way through for a few years now. One of my favourites, especially looking out on a clear(ish) night as it is tonight.

Houses of the Holy, imvho the first track is one of the greatest pieces of rock music ever laid to vinyl.

Missed this earlier in the year, despite listening to all her R1 Residency shows. Lovely bouncy house.

Isn't that Queensrÿche's Promised Land from 1994 as it's the same artwork. Mindcrime was released in 1988 and is an epic album. Unfortunately the band went downhill after DeGarmo left. Operation Mindcrime is the name of Geoff Tate's current band.
