Right Now! No messing - what are you listening to?
Discussion
Recently I've been converting some of my vinyl collection to CD and Mp3's, most albums in the collection I know well, but some like this one I'm less familiar with - WOW - made my day/week when I played this - I can't get some of the tracks out of my brain - guess it has the 'OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST' SYNDROME - this is well worth checking out if you have it in your collection - Have a great day/week

Tusk Fleetwood Mac Big disappointment Title Track and Sarah only decent tracks on it.
Homosapien Pete Shelley ditto.
I had similar feelings I think Xmas 1979. It just wasn't what I thought it would be like.Homosapien Pete Shelley ditto.
Its been documented since about it being a Lindsey Buckingham heavily influenced record.
Tusk as a double LP for me was a 'meh, no' time. I still have it, thought I'd sold it. Probably the least played LP of all music I've ever owned.
'Sara' was about the best track but bettered when released as a single and shortened by two mins from its long (almost six and a half mins!).
I just listened to the whole album again earlier to see if I'd change my mind. Those other 4 you mention are good yeah, but nowhere near what I rate as her best recordings, and as this is about Tusk, that's still only 5 tracks out of that whole album (and a double album at that).
I love Nicks' Fleetwood Mac songs. But I think any, any, of Nicks' own solo albums (not Fleetwood Mac ones) beat Tusk, hands down.
Bella Donna, her first, was brilliant. Every track. She's a star in own right.
And still is, even considering she'll be 71 in May.
Roll on Wembley, June 16th.

The Nicks songs are always the stand-out songs on any FM album for me. She just has this talent of writing beautiful songs. Even on the Buckingham Nicks album, it's her songs which stand out, as well as Frozen Love (both credited). I saw her in the Birmingham NEC on her solo tour in 1989 and luckily, was fairly close to the stage..I just listened to the whole album again earlier to see if I'd change my mind. Not sure why though, as I got rid of most of my vinyl. Maybe I thought it'd be worth something.

Nice little electronic number, down tempo. Think quiet underground bar, or late night driving song rather than club banger.

Just found this. Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved.

Peter Capaldi (2nd cousin once removed, they had only met once before) in the video, also advertising 'Live Life Give Life' organ donation charity. Quite dusty.
