SACD version of Rage Against the Machine's debut album
Superb. There’s not a duff track on that album. Didn’t know the SACD was available.

Been decorating and refitting the kitchen and thought I'd listen only to music I bought when I first came to Aus about 15/16 years ago...

Waikiki - I'm Already Home
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuSIgCmEo5Q

The lead singer, Juanita, went on to form another band, The Howling Bells, which I also listened to...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAfPdpAX-jk

Luke Steele's first band before The Empire of the Sun was The Sleepy Jackson, and I've got their debut album, Lovers...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgNkk1CHGZg&li...

Luke's sister, Katy, has a band - Little Birdy - and their first album was released around the same time, so that went on.,.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQQG1EyklHY

And a bit of Powderfinger rounded out the painting - Vulture Street, which still gets a frequent listen...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFLyU9g50yk&li...

Nothing spectacular in that lot, though I do like Juanita's voice and (Baby I've Got You) On My Mind by Powderfinger is an ace track

The Cult -Love. Such a great album, not a duffer among them.
yes. Played it a few months back in the car for about a week. I agree, great album.
Amazing album Sonic Temple pips it for me.
Agree with darreni, and also with Patch. Saw them play the whole album on the Love Tour as they passed through Sydney about 12 years ago - fun night - but I also prefer Sonic Temple.

Anyway, slightly sideways of that, Beth Orton "She Cries Your Name"

The Cult are currently touring the Sonic Temple album (now 30!) & this popped up on my computer this morning;

If you’re a fan of the band it’s definitely worth trying to have a listen to the 5.1 mix of Appetite on a decent system. Everything you know and expect is there but there are more layers, more separation. The two channel remaster is solid enough but the surround sound mix is stellar smile

,74-,75 The Connells. Simply as it popped up in a TV advert but was one of those mellow songs from an era I really like.
This is the updated video. The video itself is very good

Another song from the early / mid 90s with a similar feel is this one Lisa Loeb Stay
