Brooks & Dunn - Hillbilly Deluxe!

I have found another video/song. Thanks BorkFactor, you may make my wallet lighter by the end of the week. hehe
hehe glad you like them!

Their albums are incredibly cheap on Amazon, I have most of them except 2 or 3. Like you, I find this sort of music a guilty pleasure.

Plenty more where that came from, happy listening! smile

"I'm Only Me When I'm With You", Taylor Swift.

Lovely upbeat tune to motive me with this sodding assignment

I used to live in Florida so this sort of music reminds me of it - hence the guilty pleasure.

I was thinking, you may also like a band called:

Mongomery Gentry - Something To Be Proud Of

...and also stuff like Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum. My oh my, I could talk for hours... smile

Just a really cool band, with a great vibe.

Tubular Bells - the original version which, as we all know, wasn't liked in some places by Mike Oldifeld.

Quite why he feels like that I don't know - IMO it is one of the greatest albums ever recorded.

& next year is the 40th anniversary of its release!!!

Yep. 40 years old next year.

I was 14 when it was released. Bought the album - still got it, it's in perfect condition & it still plays on my old turntable!

Been listening to a few different things recently,

Lots and lots and lots of Epica, the Design your Universe and Requiem for the Indifferent albums mostly, met them last week before a gig (which then went on to be the best gig I've ever been to), but if your into your metal give Epica - Kingdom of Heaven a listen.

Haken - Think dream theatre on crack, mostly the Visions album, seriously awesome stuff.

Ne Obliviscaris - Portal of I album, only discovered this recently, listen to Forget Not, it's slow to get going but really incredible once it does.

After about twenty years after getting rid of my vinyl version, Fly By Night album fro Rush was on my Christmas list.

Alex Lifeson's guitar playing and Neil Peart on drums just sound so "clean" after all my venutres down the highway and by-ways of grunge, punk and techno-industrial over the years. This has to me, dated well, released in 1975, crap lyrics mindsmile
