A group i got into quite late, one of the few groups probably better live than on record,Faith no More.I just love their energy, just wish they had a singer that puts more into the performance!:-)

This next song i've picked mostly because this particular video nearly puts over a)What it's like to be at a good gig,and b)What it must feel like performing to a crowd like that! Not a huge Oasis fan, just liked a couple of their songs.

Or this at Glasto 2002. Insomnia played as the sun goes down. Look at the energy of that crowd. Fantastic to place to be. Sadly no longer performing together. frown

Amazing. The same can't be said about the crowd however.

That is my most favourite YT video in the whole world and will be for a long time to come.

If I could be anyone in the world it would be me, but second it would be him. And that's saying something.

Love this performance of Stairway to Heaven: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q7Vr3yQYWQ

Can only imagine what it would have been like to listen live.

3:37 ish for me. When the camera pans out and you see thousands and thousands of people bouncing together... Its far from his best performance but even still, very nice.

I was lucky enough to see them 5 times and they were one of my first every gigs. 2000 people in the crowd at Hull Ice Arena, 5th row back. Each show was as special as the next. Sorely missed.

Therapy ? Brixton 1994 !! always loved this. Awesome and rough looking crowd, superb band at their peak. You can all most feel the heat from the crowd. Keep and eye for the security guy at 0.38 laugh

Who?
That's Mike Monroe, singer (sometime saxophonist, occasional drummer with Hanoi Rocks)

Here he is at Woods Social Club, Colchester 28 years ago yesterday..

Oh, and that's me in the U2 'Boy' t-shirt. God, I feel old.

Something a little different:

The Thomas Tallis Fantasia by Vaughan-Williams

Played live inside Gloucester cathedral. The perfect auditorium for a work of such "stained-glass" quality.
