All this old stuff is great, but as I mentioned earlier, I have found a channel that has revitalized the Amen and the sound.

Sci Wax and the associated channels / music is doing what needs to be done, and picked it up. The work and expertise is biblical. Hundreds and hundreds of tunes coming out of these modern day soldiers.

Some examples:

Lol I have been spotted by the missus eyeing up the 'Jungle In the Dam' Weekender a few times (Amsterdam of course with the warm up even being held in Brighton) but I have young children. That said, we have been to the Mayfield a few times and caught Goldie, Rudamental, Fabio and others. it's an amazing venue, they spent around a billion pounds on the development

As for the tango track, man that was cained out back in the day. Takes you back!

For those in need of a fix:

Give a try to Old Skool Rave Tapes on TuneIn.

Often plays Don FM and Kool FM stuff from back in the day. There’s also some real MC heavy jump up noise on there occasionally but don’t let that put you off, it’s a decent listen most of the time.

Nice one rufmeister!

Having been party to the 80's acid/rave scene, I'll certainly tune in for a fix.

I never quite forgave the label for making me buy the vinyl 4 pack just to get the remix but it was worth it biggrin

As cained by DJ Hype and DJ Rap......

Its not just a 1-dimensional jump-up track either, it switches-up around 2.35.

thats a great mini-mix, many of those tunes i have never heard before.

I suppose theres not much better a response than a DJ Hype/Devious D ragga dub-plate. The sample at 1.45 is so good, even the licence holder wouldnt sue.

Off raving with the kids down the liverpool warehouse in a bit for a daytime rave-up so need to get ready but i will listen when i get back, half-cut.

Skanna wow man that takes me back even further to late 1993.

Its one of the earliest tracks that appeared as 'Jungle Techno', as a CD in HMV.

'This Way' appeared on the compilation, too tipsy to find the exact CD but damn, Skanna was ahead of his time, Will have a root tomorrow to find the track.

Been away this weekend - refreshing to see the thread lives on.

I have considered your posts and offer you some earlier tasters. Not as early as 93, but these should fit the bill...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXTV1RGN-tg&li...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49aXNNUpcYQ&li... <<< not so well known remix of a classic - heavy amens - enjoy bow

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LV5YJaNcWs&li... <<< Dirty Dillinja track from 95, a hidden gem

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEMKWNRH_eU&li... <<< Rare early Ray Keith track on Chronic - proper vinyl / early sound business

I've just remembered a compilation I am researching now on the tube from 96 ish - proper tunes, standby!
