Managed to get 4 x tickets to the Foo Fighters for the Saturday night at Wembley!
Refreshed a couple of times then got through no bother. Bookface seems to be going a bit mad mind... I see Stubhub advertising at inflated prices already though...
I've just got tickets for Foo Fighters at Wembley Saturday night. Had 9 tabs open all doing the refresh countdown from 09:00. At 09:26 one by one they all connected allowing me to order - I could have ordered on all the tabs Refreshed a couple of times then got through no bother. Bookface seems to be going a bit mad mind... I'll see you there - I'll be the one wearing a FF t-shirt!
P.S. agree with the comments about stadium concerts being rubbish, but there's little chance of catching the FF in the local venues.

there are some mentalist's out there who shouldn't be allowed to buy things online, on the ff facepage somebody has paid viagogo £600 odd for 4 tickets because they couldn't get any today in the presale!
Arrived late to log on at 9:10am to try for Foo Fighters at Wembley expecting to find pre-sale sold out.
2 minutes of F5'ing, four Wembley standing (Saturday) tickets sorted, my mate got the same. Meanwhile over on Facespace people were foaming at the mouth about not being able to get onto the site?
71 quid a pop at face value though ... ouch! I honestly wonder who is paying tout prices, when the sticker price is high enough as it is. I've got a reasonable disposable income, love the band and live music is my main interest outside of cars and bikes, but even I winced as I pressed <BUY>.

I winced even more at my £96 seat.2 minutes of F5'ing, four Wembley standing (Saturday) tickets sorted, my mate got the same. Meanwhile over on Facespace people were foaming at the mouth about not being able to get onto the site?

However, I really dislike stadium gigs so figured a level 2 seat, near the front will give me a good view, can sit down while waiting / supports are playing etc.
Back in the late 90s they were absolutely my favourite band (Stratford Rex with QOTSA anyone?), but I've slacked off from seeing them every tour in recent years due to the venues, so figured it's about time I see them again. They may well do some smaller "secret" gigs in the week leading up which are slightly less deflating to try and fail on if theres still the big gig to look forward to.

Did you find it hard getting the foo fighter tickets?
People are going mental on facebook, i just had it on auto refresh for 10 mins then tried manual and got tickets for wembley no problem.
nah its was ok, clicked on the link at 9am, got the 'we are processing the maximum number of tickets we can right now' refresh manually of let it do it automatically every 20seconds. kept the screen open and got on with my work, kinda forgot about it, done some work, went to the loo came back and it was on the 'buy tickets' page, few clicks and i got my 4 tickets. all good. Saw Jack White at the O2 last night.
Was a bit disappointed, think I'm coming to the conclusion he's suffering from Metallica syndrome.
Also found it a struggle to hear his vocals a lot of the time.
He played a mean guitar though.
Hopefully mastadon next week will make up for it.
This sums up big venues for me. I know if you want to see the big acts you have little choice, but I really can't get on with cavernous venues. For me, catching an act on the way up in a sweaty small room with a couple of hundred people is where it's at these days. Was a bit disappointed, think I'm coming to the conclusion he's suffering from Metallica syndrome.

Couldn't agree more, like you say though sometimes you're left with little choice, however I saw Iron Maiden at the 02 and that was good. Couldn't bring myself to see Motorhead at wembley though, that just seems sacrilegious, plus I've seen them loads anyway.ehonda said:

're big venues I think other than foo fighters and muse there aren't any I'd rush to see.
Over the years there's been a few. I caught KT Tunstall a few days after her breakthrough appearance on Later for £2! Vintage trouble in a pub in Brighton for a fiver. Bernard Butler as Trans in a 200 cap room last year for a tenner & Real Estate two weeks ago at Komedia in Brighton which is about 400 ish people.
Keeping your ear to the ground pays off, but I agree, if you want the Foo's & the like, you have to go with the flow.

My biggest balls up was not watching a band playing in a school hall Torquay ( or possibly teighnmouth) the band was muse and it was 92 maybe 93Keeping your ear to the ground pays off, but I agree, if you want the Foo's & the like, you have to go with the flow.

Don't know if you've seen the set list chaps, but looking at last nights in Germany, looks like its going to be a lot of their rubbish new stuff.
You do know it's "The Hunting Party Tour" right? As in a promotion of their new album. It's good, the experiments paid off well here. To date i feel "living things" has been their only weak point.

My missus thought by having an account on gigs and tours = pre sale purchase option
I found out after spending 20 mins hitting F5 that wasn't the case ...doh
