Public Service Broadcasting @ Camden Electric Ballroom tonight.
I've loved both albums, but not sure how they'll come across live. Tonight I'll find out I suppose!
I've seen them a couple of times and they're brilliant IMO. How was the gig? Did they play any more new material from the new album other than what they've released already?I've loved both albums, but not sure how they'll come across live. Tonight I'll find out I suppose!
I've got tickets for their Nottingham gig in October, got heaps of stuff before then but can't wait for that!

I loved it and hope you do too in October. The newer stuff will be familiar by then of course.
I think there were 4 or 5 tracks from the upcoming album.
It's hard to be original in pop music, but they have really done something special IMO.

It was excellent. No vocalist of course but the recorded material fits in well with the live musicians. It's quite a visual show too. Gagarin with a live horn section was probably my highlight.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it, they're one of my favourite new discoveries of the last few years. I was a bit disappointed when I heard about the theme of their new album (decline of the coal industry) but the new tracks are excellent, particularly 'They Gave Me a Lamp', so I've changed my mind about the theme!I loved it and hope you do too in October. Looking at the setlist online it looks like they did 5 from the new album so quite jealous you got to hear those, and they did Lit Up which they've not played either times I've seen them, the buggers! Had high hopes of them doing Glastonbury again this year but looks like I'll have to wait until October.

I saw The Afghan Whigs last week.....they were good but far too much was played off their last 2 albums and not enough from their earlier back catalogue..
Depesche Mode on Saturday just gone, supported by The Horrors. Both great!!
I've got Buffalo Tom this Friday. I love that band, can't wait as it's only the 3rd time I'll be seeing them.
Something may come up before then....I've got the year highlight of Glastonbury! near the end of the month.

Royal Blood - seeing them on 14/7
(Good to see from an earlier post that "they smashed it in Leicester!")

I saw Royal Blood with GregE240 at one of their early gigs (around the time of their EP) and you can really see how they've developed into a world class band.
Seeing Prophets next week in London. Really liking "unfk the world" - B-Real and Chuck D sound much better with their own stuff than RATM covers.
