Been talked into going to see Metallica end of October by my son, was a bit surprised they still have tickets on sale.

Current list looks like:
October - Metallica for my son
November - Morbid Angel
December - Mastodon, Memoriam
Feb - Front Bottoms for my daughter
March - Cannibal Corpse
June - Download for my son
August - Bloodstock
August - End of the Road for my daughter

I see Prodigy have a small UK tour in December, pre sale starts Wednesday. Hoping to get tickets if I can as I didn't go last time.

Off to see Sparks on Friday.

Not sure what to expect.
Significantly better than I thought.

Really enjoyed it - well worth a look if they are passing your way.

I see Prodigy have a small UK tour in December, pre sale starts Wednesday. Hoping to get tickets if I can as I didn't go last time.
Managed to get Prodigy tickets after an hours faffing using multiple browsers on multiple PCs. I think a combination of bots and just sheer demand overloaded their ticket seller for the pre sale as this note is now on the website:

"due to problems with the pre sale ticketing company's website we have decided to postpone the fan onsale till tomorrow at 12 noon BST” a new link will be posted at 18.00 BST today to the fan mailing list with a different ticketing company any existing purchases that have already gone through will be honoured we apologise, but this is beyond the bands control ”

I could see a whole bunch of tickets onsale at Getmein and Viagogo for more than double or triple face price within minutes of them going on sale, hence why I think it was mostly bots.

While I was doing that I also managed to pick up tickets in the pre sale for Belle and Sebastian for next March, first time of asking as well unlike the endless refreshes for Prodigy.

Off to see Gary Numan on monday. My first gig in about 15 years, and I'm going on my own which will be a bit weird.

You lucky so and so; wish I was; the new album is GN at the pinnacle of his career imho.

Eta I'm off to the Australian Pink Floyd on Saturday.

Prodigy tickets went on sale at 10 am with Ticketmaster and Seetickets.. By 2pm (maybe earlier) they had all sold out. Surprise surprise Viagogo (owned by Ticketmaste) has 300.. standing tickets cheapest at £92. That's the most expensive ticket I've ever seen for the Mcr Apollo. Looks like a band I'll never see.

I wouldn't loose to much sleep over it, saw them a few years ago and I thought they were a bit of a let down, a bit 'past their best' where as Public Enemy who supported them were great. rotate
