Remember Ezrin saying you could easily spot Floyd tracks sung by Wright or Gilmour as opposed to Waters because they were in the right key. Or indeed, any key laugh Singing was never his strong suit

Waiting on a copy. Quite eagerly, actually

Might need another few goes, but first pass didn't hit the spot with me sadly. Just all feels a bit lifeless and flat. No snarl, no resentment and not enough feeling. Disappointed.

Just listened to darksideofthemoonwishyouwerehereanimalsthewallthefinalcut II. Chord progressions lifted directly from The Final Cut, Dogs, etc. Just listen to that Hammond organ, VCS3... Borderline-communist sub-National Union of Students lyrics. I liked it. You know where you stand with Roger, despite me not agreeing with his politics.

Overall impression was that he was a bit miffed at Dave/Nick/ghost of Rick doing The Last Pink Floyd Album and decided to have a go himself.

I think it works better as a complete album rather than listening to the tracks in isolation. I've played it a few times now and I like it.

I've played it a few times, its OK but the production lets it down, it's all boxed in without any detail.

Seems to go on for a while then stop, doesn't have the arc that I'm used to from him

Might work better live.

I'll stick to Amused to Death and Pros n Cons as my go to RW solo albums.

You can register for a presale on Thursday on LiveNation (I think that’s who I got the mail from this morning - on my work machine).

Got a couple for Manchester.

Had a bit of trouble getting on the site as I was out so was using the iPad and Livenation didn't seem to like my password. So ended up having to remote connect to my PC at home. Luckily got tickets in the area I wanted, but it timed out as I only had 2 mins to go to the next step, but trying to drag and scroll the screen I took to long. Then started getting seats directly opposite the stage which I didn't want, then the upper tier that I also didn't want. Then finally got offered seats back in the original block again.

If your not aware its an unusual layout for additional video screens during the second half of the show, assuming it stays the same as what has been used it the US, So depending on where you are you may miss out on this. This link will show you what I mean, but will obviously ruin the surprise if you watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imkMwZANHGA

Yes the usual charade of proving I’m not a bot - it’s all nonesense, we all know LiveNation/TM passes hundreds of tickets to the secondary market - at 10.15, after I got mine. I looked on Getmein and there were loads on there. Anyway that’s a different issue.

Interesting what you say about the layout. The Hydro is showing as just a normal stage and seating in blocks in front - but it is abnormally wide, so maybe they have enough space. We’ll see!

It was probably gone 11am when I finally booked tickets, as I tried originally soon after 10am, but was down at the archery club and a few people were waiting on me so that we could score a round. So I then tried again after we had completed the round,

Yes it is a traditional layout, stage at the end of the venue. But as we know RW/PF like the visual so the second half something happens. I've edited my previous post and added a youtube link that will spoil the surprise if you watch it.

Not the biggest fan of Waters on his own, but that Hyde Park date could be a decent Friday!

Pretty much as expected. Will supplement the live show with a few new angry bits.
Friend gave me his pros and cons lp many years ago. I really liked it at the time but think its idiotic now with Rogers shrieking and Clapton's excessive guitar parts.
Wonder what 2042's effort will be like.

As is often the case with Roger Waters productions, the majority of the songs from the album are excellent when performed live

Took me a while to get into the album

For those who haven't seen this, concert/film well worth watching
