King Gizzard & the lizard wizard are a band I like enormously. Bit of them on the Iplayer.

I have seen Ed Sheeran twice, once at Wembley Stadium and more recently at the Hydro in Glasgow, he's not my bag (my girlfriend loves him), but he always puts on a decent show considering it's just him on the stage

Three nights at Wembley Stadium and a Glasto headline slot at his age too

Fair cop

It helps when you get so much support. Most people buy and watch who the radio and press dictate to them.

The amount of airtime he gets on the radio is incredible.

He sounds decidedly average so far. Missing the oomph required of a headline act.

It just sounds a mess on TV .

The ginger tosser.

Sounds like a chicken and egg scenario to me, success seems to beget success and exposure these days more so than ever. I've only seen him at pretty hefty venues but I know people who have seen him perform in a few small dives and stty venues along the way - it's not as if he has been given it on a plate

Don't get me wrong, he wouldn't be my first choice of music, I'm still looking for a video of Frank Carter's set hehe but he's hardly some Little Mix manufactured pish

I like some of his stuff but I get excited by watching a band working together and having fun. Its just not the same watching one bloke with a guitar and a sampler. I didnt get Adele for the Sunday evening gig last year though

He works it quite well IMO - I saw him at Wembley and didn't think that a one man ginger band would work in a big environment like that but it did, quite well too.

I do like seeing a band work together too however, a cracking one recently was a Swedish band called Avatar that I saw in France (Hellfest) last weekend, they dress like a jester troupe and it works really well, so do Ghost, a Swedish metal band where the singer is dressed like the Pope - which probably shows off my usual tastes quite well hehe
