Gig Plans - 2018
Discussion
Didn't know whether this had another topic, but quick question. Going to my first gig abroad in October to Brussels to see BlocParty.
Booked directly with the venue and they've reserved the tickets with payment due within 5 days and they've provided a bank account to send the money to.
Could anyone let me know if that is normal please? Last time I did anything on the continent was along time ago when I went to Wacken.
Thank in advance

I was pleased to hear that too, I'd heard some comments that the crowd at Southend were a bit quiet. I saw them in Liverpool a couple of weeks ago, and am going to the Manchester gig at the end of the month.
Funny you mention Le Mans, one of my favourite clips is from that gig. Terrible sound and video quality, but a lot of atmosphere. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5adRzpIkZo

Had the surprise addition of seeing The Fratellis in Manchester on Friday just gone.
They were bloody awful, but a heads up on the support act, "Black Pistol Fire", well worthgoing to see.

How was that? I would loved have been able to make it; alas, no chance
Really good! They must have played at least one song off each album and a load off Hysteria. I really enjoyed it! Support was a band called Slydigs and they were pretty good.Ticket (solo!) acquired: Ginger Wildheart here in Aberdeen, June 1st; can't wait
Saw Jarvis Cocker on Tuesday at the deaf institute in Manchester - tiny venue of around a couple of hundred people I would have thought.
Wasn't what I was expecting as he mirrored his own radio show and did a lot of talking. Played a superb version of "Running the World".
Going again to see him at Peak Cavern in Castleton tonight.

Got a few decent gigs coming up:
Public Service Broadcasting tomorrow night @ DeMonfort Hall, Leicester - will be my fourth time seeing them, can't bloody wait to see them again, cracking band.
Gomez @ Rock City, Nottingham - 20th anniversary of Bring It On, never seen them live before (have seen Ben Ottewell solo several times and adore his voice) very excited.
Nick Mulvey @ Colston Hall, Bristol.
All Points East in London - seeing The National, War on Drugs, Public Service Broadcasting (again), Future Islands and others. Great lineup for me.
