Anyone from around Edinburgh or willing to travel a little?

If you go to Groupon you'll get a ticket for just £19. There's further discounts for multiple tickets.
Sounds desperate, but that's not a bad day out for pocket change.

thanks for the heads up, not a huge fan of any of the bands. but sunday is supposed to be amazing weather, and a wee trip out there to sit on the grass and drink a couple of beers and hear some music for £18 seems reasonable!http://www.scotland.sundaysessions.net

Hopefully they don't try to recover more costs through food and drink.

I went to see David Byrne last week - I reckon it was the best gig I've ever been to!
Certainly highly enjoyable and utterly memorable, both visually and aurally!
I bought a ticket to go and see Joan As Policewoman in London in August recently - Really enjoyed her appearance at Rough Trade records, so a proper gig should be good!
A couple more planned for later in the year, but I think I've mentioned them already.

Went to see Foo Fighters at the Olympic Park London last Saturday. Got offered a free ticket, and was the first time I'd been to a gig since going to see Guns and Roses, back in 1991 at the old Wembley stadium - yeah, I really need to get out more !
Anyway, the Foo Fighters were superb ! I'd never heard of any of the support acts, so Starcrawler were a little weird for my taste, Salves I thought were really good and The Kills were great too, if not so great at really getting the crowd going.
So with my renewed gig liking, seeing Iron Maiden next would be good. Hopefully FF will be back in the UK again soon, and I'll definitely go back for that.

Well, headed up to Halifax to see The Last Internationale and wasn’t disappointed. Still one of the most engaging live acts i’ve seen, and the set was brilliant. The Lantern is a small venue, but really decent quality PA system.
The Hot Soles we’re supporting, and they were great too. Will be checking out their stuff as a result. Real funky, soulful blues sound. The man got a voice on him too... he can play a guitar too.
Roger Waters on Saturday...
