Gig Plans - 2018
Discussion
If your going to see Roger Waters and your not aware of the stage/visual effects etc in the show be careful of the program if you buy it (£15). The inside of the front cover and page 41 (and maybe some others) contain photos that will ruin the surprise(s).
I went to the Manchester show last night, audio and especially visual delight.
Thought its was going to be ruined by the group stage side of us. Group turn up just before the start, drunk but not bad, one straight out with phone watching the football. Empty seat left between us. Few minutes later the last one turns up, pissed clutching a bottle of wine. Leaning right forward, standing, waving arms around, bottle still in hand. Then after 2 or 3 songs decide to presumably go to the loo, but doesn't reappear. After ages one of the others phones him and it appears he got thrown out. Result

Good comment - We were at Glasgow last Friday, and the effect I think you are referring to is excellent.I went to the Manchester show last night, audio and especially visual delight.

A note on the crowd at the Hydro - A lot of pissed/drugged up boneheads I'm afraid - Would make me think twice about going there for a show again. I'm not over sensitive or averse to having a good time, but there was a very high idiot count.

yep started to notice this with a lot of gigs. some of the worst are old bands getting back together/ reunion tours- where fans try and relive their youth on a big day/ night out!I also wonder if ticket prices have a lot to do with it, because gigs are getting so expensive (places like the hydro average about £60-70 a ticket?) people now feel they have to 'make a day of it' for the concert. which generally leads to lunch/ dinner/ drinks before the gig.... more drinks at venue.....
Waters was epic in Birmingham last night too.
Typically impressive visuals as well, although very politically biased (not a surprise really).
The number of people who couldn’t sit for more than 40 mins without needing the bar / toilet was annoying though, as were the world’s most uncomfortable seats.

I thought the first half was a bit under-whelming actually. But it got going later on. I think pigs get some unfair press from Roger, they're really quite nice animals. And I agree about those who can't go without a drink for 15 minutes, often walking back and forth during the best bits.Typically impressive visuals as well, although very politically biased (not a surprise really).

I agree - couldn't believe how many kept walking out during great songs. You must have been sitting very close to us - as I have almost the same photo! (Block 6 lower)
Some great guitar work on display last night, and those 2 singers doing Great Gig in the Sky...!

Great gig, very politically biased. Even though our seats were way back they were pretty good as we had nobody infront of us plus we could stretch out.
great visuals as expected.

I saw Pearl Jam last night at the O2. They were incredible .3 hr set yesterday, when you thought they were leaving they came out for more. I think it’s going to be a while before they come back to London but glad I got a chance to see them.
It was a real fans gig,a lot of obscure stuff ..b sides and rarities .I thought the sound was the worse I have heard them but that may be the o2,Ed’s voice and mikes guitar were drowned by the drums and bass ,but they seemed to get sorted when ed changed his mic.

I am extremely jealous... Seemed like getting a ticket for the rearranged show would have been straightforward, but just couldn't make it down.I thought the sound was the worse I have heard them but that may be the o2,Ed’s voice and mikes guitar were drowned by the drums and bass ,but they seemed to get sorted when ed changed his mic.
