Every new year I make the same wish and ea h year I am disappointed.
Wonder why Pink Floyd do not release thier ‘Delicate sound of thunder’ concert onto DVD.
Of course I have the video tape, but that is now completely worn out.

I have watched this recently on sky arts, judging By The Look And Feel I suspect it was shot on video of some sort rather than film. The picture quality will only ever be 'okay" which is a bit of a shame.

I would stick with Pulse instead.

I find DSOT sterile, over produced and over-egged in almost every way.
A product of its time, I suppose.

Would prefer a release of the Venice concert but I suspect neither of us will get what we want!

I was lucky enough to see them on this tour at the now demolished London arena. Still have memories of that night all these years later.

It’s feels almost criminal that the concert is not available on dvd, almost everything else PF. is available. Frustration is strong, come on Mr Gilmore help us out here!

Yes me too! Was it 1989? It was the first "live" rock concert I ever saw...

The video tape that you have, where was the concert?

I believe it was filmed mainly from the concerts held at Nassau Coliseum in New York, with bits from Château de Versailles.

It was the Venice concert, I haven’t watched it for some years now owing to its condition although it is still ok for watching, sort of. I seem to recall at the time of the concert much oaning from the venetian authorities about buildings cracking owing to the sound of the band!
Brilliant concert, I do wish I had seen them live.

I video taped the concert when it was broadcast via television.
