Some of these are right up on the bucket list if I had a Tardis. Pretty good indicator of the PH demographic too.

Anthrax, Hammersmith Odeon, 1987 (maybe '88?). I was 17/18, I don't think my hearing has been right ever since. Drove there from the sticks in a Mk1 Escort 1100 with 4 passengers. Couldn't hear the engine cranking when I started it up after the gig, my ears were ringing so badly.
was that the among the living tour ?

Brotherhood of Man or The Nolans at Poplar Civic Theatre. Can't remember which was first.

First gigs of my own choosing was The Police at Wembley Arena on the Syncrhonicity Tour in 1983.

Stick that on your bucket list.

My mum and dad took me to see status quo when I was 10 in '94. First gig I ever went to on my own was Fun Lovin' Criminals at Doncaster dome when I was about 13.

My first gig was The La's in Manchester, October 1990... I always remember this as Lee Mayers shouted out "This one's for Maggie" and continued to play There She Goes... on the day that she resigned!

Monumental moment that you'll never forget!

Yes, back in 1969 there's no way he would have been thinking that he was embarking on what would turn out to be a job for life, or that the band (in whatever form) would still be going nearly 50 years later. Still going at 80? I wouldn't rule it out!

Don't think my parents took me to any gigs, unless you count seeing Rolf Harris at Bognor Regis Butlins.

The first gig I went to on my own was the 'Taking On The World' tour by Gun at the Leadmill in Sheffield in 1989.

It was bloody awesome and bloody loud. My ears rang for about two days afterwards.

I saw Hawkwind at Harrow Polytechnic in around 1973 so I guess that would have been with Lemmy!

Adam and the ants 1981 I think it was, Glasgow Apollo. Apart from nearly peeing myself as it was my first gig, I was accompanied by my mother who drove me there, and her friend who was rather disturbingly a clone of a certain little Scottish songstress strumpet who did weird things to me every time I seen her, Sheena Easton.
Adam was absolutely brilliant, just seeing him at the height of his fame, he was far better than I thought he was going to be.
