Sold car and moving house: V5 and Tax

As above, car just sold and we are planning on moving out fairly soon (this weekend or next).

Does anybody know how the tax refund would be handled and how long it will take?

Posted to the old address in the next 7 days is fine but after that it may be difficult. I wasn't asked for bank details when I registered the change online.

Set up a post redirection (which is probably a good idea anyway) and then no worries

You get posted a cheque, which your postal redirection will magically make appear at your new house.

You ARE setting up redirection, aren't you? No? Why on earth not?

Like said, set up a redirection!

You'll lose loads otherwise! At least 3 months

The only time I've done it DVLA are pretty quick - but postal redirection less so.
