A couple of new ones penciled in for me:
Mercury Prize awards this Thursday at Hammersmith Apollo. These artists are performing: Black Midi, Foals, Fontaines D.C, Little Simz, NAO, Anna Calvi, Cate Le Bon, Dave, IDLES, Cassie Kinoshi’s SEED Ensemble and slowthai. Ones in bold I'm most interested in seeing.
Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris in November. Got a day ticket so will be seeing Charli XCX and The 1975.

I think peak reading was early to mid 2000’s.
The crowds were up for it borderline riotous, remember the big deodorant bonfire where even the security wouldn’t go in that field ? I think at one point people tried to set fire to the security watchtower!
What strikes me though is even the most indie band like say teenage fan club would of got a mosh pit for there set unlike now when it’s the exception.
I remember people throwing bottles of piss at Daphne and Celeste. That was funny. The crowds were up for it borderline riotous, remember the big deodorant bonfire where even the security wouldn’t go in that field ? I think at one point people tried to set fire to the security watchtower!

Look on youtube for senseless things / neds atomic dustbin the crowds are going nuts .
I can't remember the story fully, but I think they kind of booked themselves due to the hate. They took it pretty well from memory.

Think the best unknown ( to me ) back i watched at reading was the living end .We went into one of the tents because it looked busy and turned out every Australian from the south east was in there to watch Australia's equivalent of green day , great set .

Nightmare-inducing performance. Loved it though.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc3LSW_XTwI

Off to see Thunder tonight at the garage in Islington. Should be a good gig as Thunder never disappoint and it will be good to see them in a small venue.
At Highbury? Decent venue actually, seen a few bands there.I'm off to see Dead Blonde Stars and AWOOGA on Saturday - can't wait.
