I've been along to Oil and Gas Europe, just not a gig yet.
The £10 parking fee is a bit much. You get 24 hours to pay using the app. They charge a "convenience fee" when you do.
I can't see me driving to a gig though. Hopefully they get transport links improved.
I think busses are few and far between, especially coming back... taxis - well I’m sure you know the story trying to get one of those in Aberdeen. The £10 parking fee is a bit much. You get 24 hours to pay using the app. They charge a "convenience fee" when you do.

They had a big area with bars open last night that wasn’t open for the Cooper gig - folk still saying on Facebook it was taking upwards of 45 mins to get served. If you’re after a swally, plan accordingly.
Metronomy at the O2 Institute in Brum tonight for me.
Wife loves them, I’m ambivalent, but it’s her birthday treat, she really wants to go and it means a rare free night of childcare from my folks - babysitters make gigs an (even more) expensive night out these days.
I’ll go with an open mind but feels a bit strange going to a gig when I’m not really arsed about it.

Had tickets for "Orchestral Manoeuvrers In the Dark" on Monday. Absolutely fantastic live and they had to Balls to open with "Stanlow" from Organisation. Andy's Dada dancing has to be seen to be believed.
Got tickets for their gig in Ipswich on the 16th - definitely looking forward to it now.alfa phil said:

Not the greatest tickets, back of the rear stalls, but there was very little left despite me signing up for notifications, which I only received about 15 mins ago.
Still, that's another band on my bucket list scored!

Had to leave the OH to book tickets on Friday morning as i was on a flight. Couldn't get first choices, despite trying at 10am. Ended up in Birmingham Symphony Hall and some silver/VIP ticket thingies as that's all that was left. Will be worth every penny though and the 5th time I've seen them live :-)Still, that's another band on my bucket list scored!
I'm flying from South Carolina to Boston to see The Cult on what I think is the last night of their tour. They added a few US dates. I missed seeing them at the Cornwall Coliseum around 1987 and have always wanted to see them.
I turned 50 this year, so thought, why not treat myself. A friend saw them recently in Southampton and said they were good.

Glasgow Hydro tomorrow night for me; super excited!
Enjoy! I'd see them again every night of the week. Outstanding set. It doesn't change so if you want a spoiler then here you go:https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/ghost/2019/motorpoi...
Also, Tribulation were ok, a bit Sisters Of Mercy/Cult/Gothicy weirdness. All Them Witches were decidedly poor. A bit like that bluesy band that plays in the background in a US Roadhouse. Odd choice for me and certainly not something I enjoyed. Use that time wisely for a beer run haha.
I got a guitar pick too

And tonight it's Airborne in Aberdeen; looking forward to some thunder from Down Under

Saw them (OMD) last night at the Cambridge corn exchange, yes great live, 1hr 40 mins of solid singing and dancing , saw them in the early eighties , not changed much , Andy defo a character, he looks like he rely is enjoying himself ,most of us doing the dad dance with him ,easy at Cambridge as its mostly all standing my kind of venue.
I saw them in Guildford on the 11th and was very impressed.Sound was good (Something that's not always true on the floor at G-Live) and their performance was excellent - Starting with Stanlow was inspired (although strictly speaking, they started with some sounds from Dazzle Ships ) and got a reaction that most bands would have been happy with for their finale!
Place was packed too.
In contrast I saw The Blow Monkeys with about 100 other people in Newbury a week or so before - It must be dispiriting to play to such a small audience, but they were professional and put on an enjoyable show - I think the event was a late addition to their tour and seemed to have been poorly advertised, so hopefully other venues got a better turn out, they certainly deserved it.
Off to see 'Skinny Lister' at the West End Centre in Aldershot on the 5th December - I know next to nothing about them, but they look like they might be fun from Youtube videos!

Yep it is large, I've messed around with it a bit so it fits better (I make this kind of stuff anyway) but ultimately I wanted it for the shelf in the living room. I've ordered a cheap £3.50 ghoul from eBay to match but thats going to need some work and chrome paint. I'll give it a go.The women's one was absolutely massive, I had one one at one point, it felt huge
