Last gig of the year for us tonight - White Lies in Brixton
Managed to meet these guys at the soundcheck before the Manchester gig - they were all down to earth lads. The gig was fantastic!Edited by maniac886 on Saturday 7th December 23:56

Finishing the year with Shed Seven and The Twang as support in Bournemouth next Tuesday.
Second time seeing Shed and fourth time with The Twang who I think are very underrated, shame they've lost one of their front men as the dual lead singers.
I'll be seeing this in London tonight.Second time seeing Shed and fourth time with The Twang who I think are very underrated, shame they've lost one of their front men as the dual lead singers.
Lost count of the times I've seen the Sheds. Colossal band.

Been into rock music for 40 odd years, never seen Aerosmith, so thought I'd try for the Manchester gig. Within 30 minutes of going on sale the only tickets available were on resale sites - starting at double the price for a ticket half a mile away at the other end of the arena.
I can highly recommend Twickets. ElectricSoup said:

Ha! Good point. I am middle-aged as you might have guessed!
I was never that into Ride first time around, but I've really enjoyed their most recent two albums.
How were Ride, I liked them back in the day but hadn't known they were releasing new stuff so will check that outI was never that into Ride first time around, but I've really enjoyed their most recent two albums.
Jim Bob and The Wonder Stuff was a great night too. Middle-aged moshing all-round.
Anyone see Devin Townsend on his empath tour?
Absolutely brilliant show. Broke several records for me: best musicianship (3 former zappa players); best sound; best props; best AV; nicest and funniest guy in metal.
Hats off especially to Morgan Agren - he has to be one of the best drummers on the planet.

Shinedown and Alter Bridge last night. Good gig. Shinedown lead talked a little too much but the music was good, Alter Bridge was surprisingly heavy and loud. Tremonti gave a guitar to an enthusiastic member of the audience at the end of the third number, a nice christmas surprise for them!

You might have to wait a while, gig is off due to Rick having a chest infection.Second time seeing Shed and fourth time with The Twang who I think are very underrated, shame they've lost one of their front men as the dual lead singers.

Yeah I was unsure what the quality of the music would be like, but to be honest, if they'd just come on in jeans and t shirts and forgot all the ridiculous stage show it would still have been a good gig, enjoyed it.
That's good to hear. I would have liked to check them out and still plan on buying their latest album or two. Latest one I have is Bloody Pit of Horror which is from 2010. Grrbang said:

Roundhouse was being filmed, not sure if it was for Live Nation or for a future DVD release or both. Hopefully a DVD will appear at some point.
