Advance tickets........taking the micky?

I had an email pop in this morning explaining how lucky I was to have the chance to buy tickets for Elton Johns farewell tour.

Why not, I thought only to discover that the concert isn't until November 2020!

Now I don't mind booking for future shows but I bet these aren't cheap and TWO YEARS away. An awful lot can happen in 2 years.

Somewhere, someone is taking the piss, but I bet they sell out in 2 mins.

I remember Genesis doing similar for their 2007 get together. I’m pretty sure that was well over one year in advance, perhaps not quite two. I have nothing to support that except I remember thinking that it was taking the piss.
Once Gabriel and Hackett banged out, so did I. I kind of regretted it but hey, it was just a pop concert.
