First saw them at Glastonbury in (I think) 2013 in a small tent. Just the two of them (J. Willgoose, Esq and Wrigglesworth) and they had only the one album out (Night Mail etc.) which I hadn't even heard all of. Big fan ever since.

I was there! I've seen them 5/6 times now (heading rapidly through my 6th decade, with around 300 gigs against my name, from Ella Fitzgerald to Orbital, to Anthrax) & I think they're one of the most original & innovative bands I've ever come across. I first heard the "Spitfire" single on 6Music yonks ago & thought it was a brilliant idea, but couldn't possibly be stretched out into an album or anything beyond a small support tour. Wrong!

The Live at Brixton album/DVD is an even better/bigger show (well, I don't like to say it....but....again...I was there ), with choir, fireworks, orchestra, dancers (proper ones that time, not a couple of mates arsing around in the spacesuits) & was a genuinely funny gig too. ( Not really comparable, but I think the last time I laughed out loud at at gig was at Ted Nugent attacking 2 kids with a mic stand at Newcastle Mayfair in 1980. Lots more blood at that gig, I seem to remember).

Big fan of the PSB popular beat combo. Definitely worth catching live if you get the chance.
