Just added Incubus at the Glasgow Academy in June to the years gig list.

Really excited about seeing these guys, I've been waiting for them to come through town for a while.

Managed to get late release tickets to Stereophonics at the o2 on Friday. Bought 2 but my Dad and mate who would be interested can't make it. If anyone is interested in the spare drop me a PM.

Booked for Manic Street Preachers @ The Piece Hall Halifax in June (with support from British Sea Power).

The Wedding Present in July is also in the diary.

Saw The Selecter @ Tunbridge Well forum last Friday which was a warm-up for their 6Music Festival show at the Roundhouse the following day. Top gig.

Pearl Jam have cancelled North America. Could be a good few gigs fall yet I’d say.

I've booked to see Morrissey at Wembley Arena on Saturday night. Given his reputation for cancelling gigs and the current Coronavirus scare I'm wondering if it will actually go ahead.

This is a difficult call for me. I've been a fan of The Smiths and Morrissey for 35yrs, yet his views supporting 'For Britain' have seen lots of his fans completely abandon him. I'm a member of a couple of Facebook fan groups, there is some proper vitriol amongst those who still support him, and those who find it all very abhorrent.

I'm of the view that he's said something controversial so that he gets spoken about, to fulfil the quote of his old mate Oscar Wilde (I paraphrase) "the one thing worse than people talking about you is people not talking about you"

There is no support act, but a film before the gig. Genuinely interested if that is going to be something to explain his views, or just some old tripe.

The way I have avoided this is that I love The Smiths but I can't stand Morrissey, so I actively avoid anything he does these days which also includes his gigs.

Stereophonics last night were great - went after work and got right at the front. Quite enjoyed the support band too, the Wind and the Wave.
Simple Minds in April, Nick Mason in May next for us, but can’t see them happening. Just hoping for a clear up by June for Pearl Jam.

My next two are Tom Robinson, who's just about to turn 70, and the Zombies (Colin Blunstone, 74, and Rob Argent, also 74).

So if everyone over 70 is not allowed to walk the streets, will they be allowed to appear on stage ?

Saw them in the early nineties at Milton Keynes Bowl, another great gig from memory.
