Must admit, we have Frank Turner saturday and then the levellers 15 may....hope they dont get canned
I've got tickets for tonight in Norwich and I've got a stinking cold so I probably shouldn't go, but I don't go to many gigs these days so I'm a bit unsure as to what to do :/
Just seen Frank Turner has cancelled his upcoming shows so I guess that solves that dilemma!

I saw Mark Chadwick (Levellers) play a solo show on Friday (very enjoyable, by the way) and he certainly had an air of 'this might be the last gig for a while, so let's make sure we enjoy it' about him.

Was intending to go on Thursday. Not a huge venue (Omeara in London) but not worth it. Real shame for these smaller artists.

I have a fair few friends who are 'roadies' so to speak, from truck and tour bus drivers, too carps, video and sound techs, chefs, caterers etc. All of them were working on different events and tours dotted around the globe 2 weeks ago. All of them are now home with no work and with no idea when things will change.

2 of the biggest trucking companies in European music tours, both UK based are now openly advertising for work on FB as the arse has pretty much fallen right out their businesses.

I haven't heard yet but I'm pretty certain I won't be ticking Goldfrapp off my bucket list in a couple of weeks time. Was due to be at the Festival Hall.

I'm due to be at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool in a month or so (watching, not performing I might add) and today they have said everything is cancelled.

Well, my tickets for Green Day/ Weezer/ Fallout Boy showed up in the mail, I'll be surprised if it & guns n Roses go ahead at this rate.

I've got booking for stuff in May, June, October and November and I don't expect to be seeing any of them.

The Festivals towards the end of August (Reading, Camper Calling, End of the Road, to name just a few) are all currently still on, but I'm sure they are reviewing this daily.

I am really looking forward to Camper Calling because they've assembled a line-up that is right up my 90's indie/Britpop alley, I'll understand if they postpone it but just hope they can get the same roster together for next year.

Gigs/Festivals/Camping is our main family and social pursuit of the summer, it is going to be a strange year. First World problems, I know.

Does anyone know/have experience of trying to get ticket refund from Ticketmaster if unable to attend rescheduled event ? Have been on their website but unable to get an answer from there. Cheers.

Last year I was due to see Hipsway and that was booked via Ticketmaster. It was cancelled and I just got an email from TM saying it had been cancelled (that was when I found out it had been cancelled) and that they would just pay the money back to my bank account and a few days later it arrived. I know that was a cancellation and not a rescheduling but I think it's a fairly safe assumption to say events will not be rescheduled, they will be cancelled.

I did have an event rescheduled 2 or 3 years ago (not booked from TM) and the the venue just emailed to say either you can accept the new date (which I could not) or have your money back. So I just asked for my money back and they returned it.

The thing is, stuff gets cancelled/moved all the time, but as a %age of all events, it's a small proportion so it's easy for them to administer. Now it's 100% so it will take all the ticket companies and venues a long time to sort it out.

In the grand scheme of things, getting my money back on such things is not on my priority list of things to worry about.

Download Festival got cancelled today, surprised its taken this long but if you have a ticket for that I think its going to be valid for next year too.

Ticketmaster will refund for an event that's rescheduled if you can't make the new date.

Does anyone here seriously believe any event will happen in 2020 at the bare minimum?

Oddly you still have the Silverstone Classic which has retro music festivals every night not yet cancelled.

No, that's why I said above that everything will be cancelled and not rescheduled. I've tickets to A-ha in November which will not be happening not matter people's wishful thinking.

While I admire their optimism, In flames still haven't cancelled their tour next month, can't see that going ahead at all.
Is there anything else in the upcoming weeks which hasn't been cancelled yet?

Think The Killers / Manics is still going on in late May, early June.
