I only need one ,it goes round and round constantly in my car CD player.

Propaganda......A secret wish.

Reminds me ,I need to disconnect the car battery so the radio loses it's memory and stops playing CDs on shuffle.
Get it on SACD - absolutely phenomenal. Played through a 5.1 system it really does go round and round the room.

This is a excellent thread, thanks, so many albums I haven't listened to for such a long time and so much music I've never heard and can't wait to listen to.

Then there's the compiling of my own list... very enjoyable... quite tricky.

Faithless - Sunday 8pm.
Leftfield - Leftism.
Van Morrison - Moondance.
Morcheeba - Who can you trust.
Joe Jackson - I'm The Man.
Cowboy Junkies - The Trinity Sessions.
Talk Talk - The Colour of Spring.
Paul Simon - Graceland.
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Chris Rea - On The Beach.
Taj Mahal - Phantom Blues

Just ten is harsh isn't it ?

glad you enjoyed the thread, I was hoping that I would get some interesting choices - and I have wink

As for just 10 - had to be a cut off otherwise we'd be looking at 50/100 alums which, while fun, would be a little unwieldy.

Good to see the first two Kate Bush albums in there rather than Hounds Of Love.
Also the album Steve McQueen with that sublime track Bonny.

Her early stuff was what encapsulated me as a young guy. Every time I listen to those two albums, they're special.

I was fortunate enough to attend her Before the Dawn residency at Hammersmith Apollo.
Whilst it was really exceptional for me, it's so disappointing that she didn't feel able to feature anything from her first 4 albums.

I saw that show and was disappointed. £150 is cost me. But I was also lucky enough to see her at the London palladium in 1979 (aged 16, paid 75p for my ticket) and she was amazing. Special effects back then extended to spotlights on spinning bin lids, which surpassed all the hi tech nonsense on show at Hammersmith.

The first four albums are the ones I like so would of been disappointed if I'd followed through with my intensions to see one of the shows but bottled out when my mate said the tickets available when he got through were £105.

I got the feeling the shows she did a couple years ago were a far cry from her 79 shows, someone did say she avoided doing any early stuff because she couldn't hit the high notes anymore. I'm a strong believer that certain artists/bands need to be seen in their prime.

Remember when George Michael jumped out of that Range Rover on the M1?

Well, my theory is one of you lot was chauffeuring him and playing one of your dreadful top ten albums. whistle

Many of the ones listed here would cause anyone to jump out on the M1.

Indeed, saw Debbie Harry a couple of years back, came on stage walking like Mrs Overall. Voice has gone too.
