Share your thoughts on songs that in a leftfield way describe or relate to our current set of politicians.

It's an attempt to be a bit of a humour and a match up between them and music.

A song that tells their story if you like - a bit like Blair & Labour did with DReam 'Things can only get better'.

For Boris I'm immediately drawn to
Bachman Turner Overdrive - You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet

Jo Swinson has to be:
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird

J Corbyn:
The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again

Farage was a tricky one to get right but I think I've nailed it with:
Natalie Imbruglia - Torn

SNP Wee Krankie (listen to the words):
LSD - Thunderclouds

hehe
Over to you lot.

ETA to add SNP.

Rush - A farewell to Kings

When they turn the pages of history
When these days have passed long ago
Will they read of us with sadness
For the seeds that we let grow?
We turned our gaze
From the castles in the distance
Eyes cast down
On the path of least resistance

Cities full of hatred
Fear and lies
Withered hearts
And cruel, tormented eyes
Scheming demons
Dressed in kingly guise
Beating down the multitude
And scoffing at the wise

The hypocrites are slandering
The sacred halls of truth
Ancient nobles showering
Their bitterness on youth
Can't we find
The minds that made us strong?
Oh can't we learn
To feel what's right and what's wrong? What's wrong

Cities full of hatred
Fear and lies
Withered hearts
And cruel, tormented eyes
Scheming demons
Dressed in kingly guise
Beating down the multitude
And scoffing at the wise

Whoa can't we raise our eyes
And make a start?
Can't we find the minds
To lead us closer to the heart?

This just popped up in my internal musical radar.

Poor Jo Swinson lost to the world now:

Evan Dando said:
Bless my soul maybe I should leave it alone
I'm sure it could be safer to stay at home
You've made your point it's pointless
And it's all gonna burn
I'm in no state to skate but I'm gonna take my turn

I know you may never really understand
Why I go through these motions with my hands
It's a gesture at best but my body's in the right place
To fall in your arms now and wait to save face

I'll do it anyway no matter what they feel
Ain't got all the facts but I got a hunch
And I know the deal I'll do it anyway
Shine what you might have heard
There's something at hand it just ain't all planned
It's still a beautiful world
