For me, one of the best solos ever.

Carlton is a giant talent.

Can't believe there's no SRV yet.
Could pick dozens from him, but one of my favourites. Texas Flood, live.

As a small aside, I quite enjoy this guy's videos.
Guitarist breaks down some classic performances of some of the greats.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Little Wing yet - always pops up in these threads!

Cream's blistering version of Crossroads on Wheels Of Fire.

Clapton doesn't fluff a note, no studio overdubs or editing.

A pre-concert sound check, Stevie Ray style.........

Hat tip to PH'er Kinky for the next one:-

Gary Moore lets loose

And one of the finer classic rock solos ever recorded. This studio version is, for me, the best version (Blackmore at his inventive and fiery best):-

Child In Time

Always loved the solo on ‘ I could never take the place of your man’ fits so so perfectly with the song.

It’s pretty good.
A friend of mine was on cello for that gig.

Perhaps I'm just too old. There are some glaring omissions from these three pages.

May I mention a certain Mr Hendrix? Not Face Melting, so obviously O/T, but how about this effort on an out of tune 12 string guitar picked up as a prop on a photo session?

And, I don't know where to start with Jeff Beck.
