Me too, wondered about booking the London gig the night before as well but thought that might be overkill.

I saw Bad Cop Bad Cop a few years ago, brilliant band
cool! i'll keep an eye out for them... for me it's all about Descendents on the friday and ALL on the sunday.... effectively the same band but different output over the last 40 years
My memory of them is the singer falling thru the stage at reading festival and carrying on singing from under the stage .

I've lost count, but something like 8 to 10 times. We're seeing them headline the Camper Calling festival in Warwickshire on August Bank Holiday - hte only festival we will be able to get to this year, really looking forward to it.

clap

Fair play. I only got into them because my ex-wife insisted on going to Bon Jovi at MKB in 1993. Manics were supporting them along with Little Angels and Billy Idol and fell in love straight away. Four piece back then, as this was 1993....

Let us know how you get on, I've never done a festival before.

Finally getting a few gigs sorted for this year, hopeful they go ahead.

This weekend, Shed Sven at Social in Hull (300 cap venue)
September - The Lathums, O2 Academy, Leeds
September - Smoove and Turrell - Brudenell social club, Leeds
October - Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott - Hull Bonus Arena
December - Shed Seven - Manchester Academy

Must have seen each of the above (apart from Lathums) over a dozen times each, still just looking forward to getting out again.

I see Alan Leach, the drummer from Shed Seven is now saying that he won't participate in the Shedcember tour if having a vaccination is made a condition of entry to venues.

Interesting times ahead for that particular question, for all indoor gigs.

Or will he do an Andrew Lloyd Webber ?

A bit more low key than some of the gigs mentioned, but I'm now down to one gig this year: Pitchshifter in November at KK's Steel Mill. It was rearranged from May I think. This is because Therapy? at KK's has been pushed to May 2022...

I've just had a think back and the last gig I went to was the Machine Head 'Burn My Eyes 25th Anniversary Tour' show in Manchester, which was November 2019 frown
I was at that - 3+ hours , got to the front via the circle pits and bagged a pick off the guitarist. Incredible gig - ended up battered and bruised.

Saw Professor Green Friday night, wasn’t too bad. He’s a new Dad and all loved up but still a politically opinionated sweary white wine swigging chap.
Feeder on Saturday night however not so good. Terrible sound and local village pub band vibes. Shame as I have fond memories of Just a Day.

WeOutHere music festival in mid August, curated by Gilles Peterson so there's a mix of jazz, afro-beats and DJ's at nighttime. Really looking forward to it and fingers and toes crossed.

In September I'm seeing Jungle at O2 Brixton, be my first indoor gig for 2 years, can't wait to be back there.

Then finally London Grammar at Ally Pally, can't wait for Hannah's voice again!

EDIT - just seen I posted in the previous page back in March saying pretty much the same thing to what I've just posted, minus the Jungle gig as that was booked in between biggrin
