Just found this on BBC News website - "Joy Division: Photographer Kevin Cummins on photographing the post-punk icons"
Ian's daughter Natalie asking Kevin specifically, if he'd taken any pictures of her dad smiling...

Saw them twice. Once at the Lyceum with Killing Joke, the other at the Moonlight in West Hampstead. Realised they were something special back in the day, but never would have thought they would have legendary status 40 years on.
Currently have this on the wall in my hall

Atmosphere reminds of of the PeelMeister dying. R1 played it constantly the following day. It is probably one of the most accessible songs, although I started with Love Will Tears Us Apart.

Love will... Because of those lyrics...pure poetic story telling.

Not the best song to bounce around to in a club painted matt black though... Halcyon days

Watched this last night as it was on Sky channel 117: London Live.

Quite surprised that it was something that had passed me by. Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it. smile

Does that have Tony Wilson referring to Manchester as a ‘dirty old town’ at the beginning? I have that on DVD.
