One band that I will actively switch off the radio for is The Doors.
I confess to being slightly surprised to hear that The Doors have been played on any radio station over the past 40-odd years.

Des'ree. That song about a ghost and a piece of toast. I thought it was a spoof at first. It used to just make me laugh but now irritates me intensely.

Pissed old bloke outside a pub on a Saturday night, scream-shouting absolute drunken gibberish at passers by - that's Squid if you haven't heard them.

Lewis Capaldi - can appreciate his talent but f**k me his songs are droll and depressing.

George Ezra - shotgun makes me want to literally take a shotgun to my ears.

Lostprophets - for obvious reasons. I still don’t nt buy that the rest of the band didn’t know what he was up to.

I disagree - any of my friends, family and work colleagues could be involved in all sorts and I wouldn't have a clue. I 'know' they're not because they're decent people but secrets can be kept....

As an aside can you separate the music from the deeds of the artist? LP, as mentioned, but also Gary Glitter and Michael Jackson (though he seems to have received a free pass somehow)

Night Moves by Bob Segar and the Silver Bullet Band IS a great song...but back to turn-offs:

Anything coming from a "talent" show esp. if Simon Cowell has anything to do with it. This is the boring tripe that Jello Biafra and DK were criticizing back in 1983!

Queen. Unf Queen are so overexposed in the last decade. There's a BIG red button at the BBC labelled "Press for safe triumphant British music that doesn't dig up nasty imperialist past like Britannia Rules the Waves or Land of Hope and Glory which no one will complain to Ofcom about and doesn't alienate anyone" They've hit that button so often for backing music that the button broke so they installed several to prevent any downtime. Queen.

Must defend Morissey only b/c one can choose to separate the good music from the cringey curmudgeon that the man has become.
