Apart from an Adam And The Ants tribute band in my village hut (three quid a ticket including a can of cider) not seen a band since Covid.
Go see the real Adam Ant and don’t be even slightly embarrassed about it as he still puts he work in 100% and when he delvs into his pre Top of the Pops post punk song book it all sounds as urgent and charged and edgy as it was at conception …….and much of his later stuff that went more mainstream still stands up when the live environment strips away the over production Viv le Rock indeed…

No embarrassment here I saw them twice in the seventies again at the Stowaway Newport. I'm not sure but I've a vague memory the first time they were the support band for The Pretenders. Back in the day The Stowaway Club was the place for Punk, bizarrely every Wednesday night!
A Pretenders support slot do s sound feasible

James last night in Edinburgh was superb great seeing Shed Seven in support.
Onto Nine Inch Nails on Wednesday in Glasgow.
how was the new ingleston/ royal highland centre/ whatever you wanna call it for gigs?? is it the old ‘king tuts wah wah’ tent from t in the park days? Onto Nine Inch Nails on Wednesday in Glasgow.
We’re off to biffy on saturday night and really looking forward too it. we’re coming from city centre so gonna be using the tram both ways. worried about how long the queue might be to get home!
also going to see rage against the machine there, but don’t think they’re using the big tent for that, think it’ll be a proper stage/ festival set up

That’s the very tent! Must have a few good gigs in that over the years. We’re off to biffy on saturday night and really looking forward too it. we’re coming from city centre so gonna be using the tram both ways. worried about how long the queue might be to get home!

We got the bus Lothian is running takes you straight to the entrance. We picked it up at Murrayfield as I stay there, we didn’t rush out but managed to get on the 3rd one back(about 6 or 7 were queuing) big queue was forming behind us but they were very efficient in getting them loaded up. It finished at 10.30 and I was home by 11.15 was really impressed £7.50 return.

ahh that’s great info, we’ll definitely be using the bus then! I was imagining a huge queue at the airport tram stop, but this sounds ideal, thanks for the heads up!We got the bus Lothian is running takes you straight to the entrance. Last night Iron Maiden were absolutely fantastic but i also quite liked Shinedown who were their support.
Gerry Cinnamon is also playing the same venue on thursday and whilst i've never really listened to much of his music, what i have heard i've enjoyed.

Simply Red tomorrow night, Blenheim Palace, outside.
Not a massive fan but like some of their stuff. Watched a couple of recent live shows on youtube & he can still sing!
Should be a nice evening.
I was actually discussing simply red earlier today, we saw them a few years ago when we went to the classic in Belgium to see Bruce Springsteen. Not a massive fan but like some of their stuff. Watched a couple of recent live shows on youtube & he can still sing!

I'll fully admit I've never really been a simply red fan but to give Mick his due he put on a decent show and most of the songs you just knew so with a bit of Belgian ale as lubrication you could help but sing along.
I wouldn't pay to see him but when included on a line up it was a decent hour or so's entertainment.
